| 8 months and my own personal ’Service Excellence’ contact later...... |
Its been 8 months since I was happily paying my gas and electricity by direct debit. Then Scottish Power wrote to me to tell me I had cancelled my direct debit (I hadn’t). What happened over the next 8 months beggers belief.
I have had 23 bills, all different, none with the right readings, one for as low as £29 one for over £400 to cover a period of two months. I’ve had a new meter fitted. A pity they lost the readings from the last one.... good job I kept a copy, shame they dont bill me....
5 months ago I was passed on to the their Service Excellence team and I somewhat foolishly believed the problem would come to an end. Like I say that was 5 months ago. Since then Ive received two letters, which basically say they’ve messed up and not sorted it out yet, three letters from a debt collection agency - apparently SP’s systems automatically send debts to this agency even if its SP who has screwed up.
So Im waiting for the bailiffs to arrive.... Just in case you are reading this and are yet to be allocated your own personal customer service agent to screw things up for you feel free to call the Service Excellence team on 0845 2700053. Apparently this number is not published anywhere... Oops!
